YEAR
CLASS REUNION WasheldOCTOBER 7th, 2006, the location was the BakersfieldRED LIONHOTEL located at
2400
Camino Del Rio Ct. just behind the Double Tree Hotel at Hwy 99 &
Rosedale hwy.
The reunion dinner - dance
was preceded with a cocktail party
at the RED LION HOTEL cocktail lounge Friday night at 5:00 pm followed by everyone attending a Foothill High School football
game at Foothill. (see Video above)
Our 35th Reunion Dinner and Dance begin Saturday evening at 6:00
pm, starting with a "no host" cocktail hour, followed by round table seating
a full service hand served dinner featuring Tri-Tip and Chicken combination dinner
with roasted vegetables, green salad and wine on each table. We had a short program
by Mike Mathis which included Coach Ned Permenter speaking for a few
minutes followed by some nice gift's being award to some attendees.
Background Music and dancing by a Live band called A.K.A.playing tunes from the 60's, 70's and
80's they were great!
The facility had a dance floor for our enjoyment, and almost everyone was
dancing at one time or the other during the evening.
The ticket costwas kept down to $50.00 per person,
$100.00 per couple and admittance to the reunion was by advance ticket
sales. Reunion flyers (FHS
flyer) were mailed, radio spots were ran and even the Bakersfield
Californian helped advertise our 35th Year Class Reunion. If you were not
notified of our reunion please consider keeping us informed about changes
in your address, keep in mind even if you have not moved committee members
move also and address are lost or misplaced over time, so please take the
time to email us your address or the address of a fellow classmate that
didn't attend that you may have contact with. If you're not sure we have your current mailing address or email please call us at

We also had online ticket sales for the first time using your credit card on
a safe secure online server, it was easy and many classmates paid using
our PayPal link that was posted on our web pages here!

Media Video format. The program is free.
Lunch with the Ladies! Saturday February 3, 2007

The Ladies of FHS 1971 had a lunch high above Stockdale Towers at The
Petroleum Club 5060 California Ave. 12th Floor. This was a
"somewhat semi-annual lunch get-together". If you would like to

Pictures Now Online Retired Coach Ned Permenter performs with band? Our
class reunion pictures are now online, we have posted over 200 pictures
and will be posting more so please come back and visit to see them all. We
also will be placing some video taken at the reunion online in the near
future. If you see a picture you would like just send us a email with the
picture file name and we will email you the high resolution image back for
you to print at home.

Classmates Committee"
Quite a few of our classmates have fallen by the wayside over the
years, their whereabouts known
only to the families they've created & the friends they've
made since 1971.They
undoubtedly are
unaware of those of us who wonder about them, who care about how their
lives turned out, who still
search for their names on Internet sites & in telephone books. To
the majority of us, thoughts of
those former friends are simply that - occasional musings that flit
through our minds. Yet behind the
scenes, over these past 37 years, our Lost Classmates Committee has
played the sleuth, following
clues that lead to further clues that result in more & more of our
classmates resurfacing. As you look
over this list, if a name jumps out at you, sparking thoughts such
as:
"That guy lives in the next block over" OR "I saw her shopping last
month" please click-on

stands a good chance the majority
of these former classmates are still close-at-hand in California. They shouldn't be that hard to find.
